In the early semester of 2018, Puskas BAZNAS recommence the implementation of Zakat Village Index (IDZ) in a number of Zakat Comdev (ZCD) points in Indonesia. One of the ZCD points that is Cendana Village of Enrekang Regency of South Sulawesi Province. Enrekang Regency is an area that has potential of animal husbandry, especially dairy cows. The featured product that characterizes this district is the local cheese called dangke, regarding this BAZNAS tries to empower through the economic ZC program.

IDZ implementation activities are conducted on March 12, 2018, located at the head office of Cendana Village. In this activity, Puskas BAZNAS team was accompanied directly by BAZNAS Enrekang District by inviting the officers of Cendana Village and the candidates of receiving ZCD program aid. From the element of local government, also attended the Head of Livestock Department and Head of Agriculture Department of Enrekang Regency. The activity begins with the introduction of each institution, the exposure of synergy in poverty alleviation conducted by Central BAZNAS, BAZNAS Enrekang District, and Enrekang District Government, then socialization of IDZ and ZCD program, and continued with guidance to the beneficiaries. While for IDZ data collection, conducted through interviews to key respondents and collect secondary data from the village head office.

IDZ measurements are intended to see if the programs that have been done are in accordance with the needs (post program) or there are other programs can be done in the village in addition to economic programs (pre-program). IDZ itself measured the 5 dimensions of zakat distribution program through Zakat Community Development namely Economic Dimension, Health Dimension, Social and Humanity Dimension, Education Dimension, and Da’wah Dimension.
