Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (7/12). A 6.4 RS tectonic earthquake which hit Pidie Jaya Regency, left a deep misery and suffer. BNPB recorded that 101 persons died, 139 persons were heavily injured and 719 persons were injured, while 45.329 persons were evacuated. Not only that, the material loss due to this earthquake included the damaged houses and buildings are as follows: 2922 houses were heavily damaged, 108 shops and 1 hospital (RSUD Pidie) were collapsed, 59 mosques were also heavily damaged, as well as 5 schools in Pidie.

As a response to this situation, BAZNAS Tanggap Bencana (BAZNAS Disaster Action, abbreviated as BTB) sent 6 rescuers, 2 doctors, 2 nurses, and 1 pharmacist to the disaster location. BTB helped the refugees in Pante Raja Desa Lhok Pu'uk District. The refugees are included from 133 families, 228 men, 209 women, 58 children (36 boys, 22 girls), 25 elderly, and 4 pregnant women.

BTB, with its doctors and rescuers team, activated a psycho-social support to give the refugees a spiritual guidance, especially to the children in Pante Raja Desa Lhok Pu'uk District. (puskasbaznas.com)
