Jakarta (7/06), BAZNAS held a national seminar with the theme of Branchless Banking Prospect in the Development of Zakat in Indonesia. The seminar was held at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah in cooperation with BRI Syariah.

In his presentation, BAZNAS chairman Bambang Sudibyo said, there are three colossal golden opportunities for zakat development in Indonesia at the beginning of the third millennium era. First, the formation of a new middle class that is phenomenally fast as well as demographic changes.

Second, demographic bonus of 2015-2035, with demographic structure change. Finally, the center the west geo-economic gravity move to Asia, the global external phenomenon.

"Now, the most important for zakat is how Indonesia has done to capture this great opportunity for zakat" said Bambang, Tuesday (7/6).

The seminar was attended by Rector UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Dede Rosyada, and Director of BRI Syariah Muhammad Hadi Santoso. In addition, also attended Vice Chairman Baznas Zainulbahar Noor and Director Baznas Arifin Purwakananta.
