The National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) targets the distribution of 10,000 Paket Ramadan Bahagia (Happy Ramadan Packages) to mustahik (the zakat recipient group). The Paket Ramadan Bahagia (PRB) is a basic needs assistance program delivered directly to houses of mustahik by an online motorcycle taxi service.
The launch of the PRB 1438 H program was held at La Piazza Mall Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta on Friday (2/6), attended by Director of National Distribution, Utilization, Renbang and Diklat, Moh. Nasir Tajang. The event was enlivened by the performance of Ang The One man Orchestra and Band Marawis Reggae.
In channeling the assistance, BAZNAS cooperates with AXA Mandiri, Lintas Arta, BRI Syariah and Takaful Insurance.
According to Nasir Tajang, the program is triggered by the desire to praise the needy who need help. BAZNAS continues to innovate in providing the best service so that they can enjoy the help sent by the loved ones without having to jostle in line.
"This program is also an easy choice for people who want to share with relatives or people who need to be assisted. Only by donating Rp 250,000, the package of basic food is ready to go directly to the destination address," he said.
With an attractive packaging design, BAZNAS targets to send the packages to several regions in Indonesia. Nowadays, the packages are already distributed to Jakarta, Sukabumi and Bandung.
According to Nasir Tajang, BAZNAS is trying to increase the number of packages sent in mid-Ramadan by looking for a number of other donors.
"Usually the mustahik visit institutions or individuals who give zakat or shadaqah, causing long queues that often cause riots, trampled even to death. Therefore, we want to praise the mustahik by delivering the assistance directly," he said.
