PUSKAS BAZNAS held a second Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on 7th November 2016. The previous FGD which was held on 28th September 2016 had produced some dimensions of National Zakat Index (NZI) such us strategic or external dimension, institutional dimention, and mustahik dimension.
This FGD was attended by the zakat experts, practitioners, academicians, and other related stakeholders namely Mrs. Nana Mintarti (Member of BAZNAS), Mr. Arifin Purwakananta (Director of Amil Zakat Nasional BAZNAS), Dr. Dadang Muljawan (Head of Division Islamic Economic and Finance Development, Central Bank of Indonesia), Dr. Oni Sahroni (Member of Shariah National Board, The Council of Indonesian Ulama), Dr. Ahmad Juwaini (Rector of Dompet Dhuafa University), etc.
Some outputs from this FGD such as suggestions how to measure the muzakki and mustahik understanding about fiqh zakat; zakat management variable (ex: ISO); sustainability variable (ex: asset ownership); suggestion to separate the external dimension (ex: regulation) with law enforcement and political will.
