
Jakarta, 3 March 2026 - The National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS), through the Directorate of ZIS-DSKL Research and Development, holds a Special Ramadan Public Expose with the theme "National Zakat Index Results and Zakat Impact Assessment 2025".
This Public Expose is part of BAZNAS' efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and the development of data-based and scientifically-grounded zakat management. Through this forum, BAZNAS present the results of the 2025 National Zakat Index (IZN) and a study on the impact of zakat in poverty alleviation.
The Director of Research and Development of ZIS-DSKL Nasional BAZNAS, Dr. Muhammad Hasbi Zaenal, PH.D, gave a speech and opened the event. Also present was Prof. (H.C.) Dr. Zainulbahar Noor, S.E., M.Ec., as the Commissioner of Planning, Research, and Development of ZIS-DSKL BAZNAS. The moderator for this event is Rakan, an intern from the Indonesia University of Education.

Hidayaneu Farchatunnisa, M.E., senior researcher at the Directorate of Research and Development of ZIS-DSKL BAZNAS, presented the results of the 2025 National Zakat Index (IZN), which is an important instrument in measuring the performance of zakat management nationally, both in terms of institutional aspects, collection, distribution, and its impact on society.

Furthermore, Rifdah Nanda Pridayani, S.E., a researcher at the Directorate of ZIS-DSKL Research and Development at BAZNAS, presented a study on zakat-based poverty alleviation in 2025. This study highlights how zakat programs can make a real contribution to improving the welfare of mustahik and supporting poverty reduction efforts in various regions.
Through this Public Expose, BAZNAS hopes to provide a comprehensive overview of the performance of zakat management in Indonesia and its impact on improving the welfare of the community. In addition, this forum is also expected to be a discussion space for stakeholders in strengthening more effective, measurable, and sustainable zakat management.
