Thursday, 8 June 2023 The Directorate of National ZIS DSKL Research and Development made a working visit to the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) due to socialiize the renewal of the concept of the National Zakat Index (IZN 3.0).

Attended to represent  BAPPENAS, Ir. Andi Setyo Pambudi, ST, M.Sc as Coordinator for Monitoring, Evaluation and Control of Regional Development Region III. Also was there to represent BAZNAS, Mr. Muhammad Hasbi Zaenal, PhD as Director of ZIS DSKL Study and Development and team.

The National Zakat Index is expected to be an instrument for evaluating zakat management planning for internal zakat managers. "In its implementation, incentives are needed to improve the performance of zakat management and make it better," said Ir. Andi who is also an Associate Expert Planner for the Ministry of PPN. "Then, validation and exposure of the results of the IZN are needed to ensure that the benefits of zakat are truly felt by the community," he added.

BAPPENAS welcomes the presence of BAZNAS and the outreach regarding NZI 3.0. We all hope that this work visit can strengthen and expand the collaboration that has been established so far. Also we hope the contribution of zakat in national development encourages better, accountable and measurable management of zakat.
