On Tuesday, (2/8/2022), the Directorate of Research and Development again held technical guidance on measuring the National Zakat Index (IZN) and Zakat Literacy Index (ILZ). This is the third technical guidance after previously being carried out similarly in June and last July.

In the technical guidance activities, the basis for implementing the IZN was re-explained, namely the Decree of the Chairman of BAZNAS No. 24 of 2020 concerning the National Zakat Index. As stated above, the IZN is a measuring instrument for the performance of zakat management carried out by BAZNAS, Provincial BAZNAS, Regency/City BAZNAS and LAZ throughout Indonesia every year.

After the material presentation session, the technical guidance activities focused on discussion and question and answer sessions about survey procedures and IZN data input in the application. Some of the questions often asked to include the respondent's criteria and input constraints in the application. With this technical guidance activity holding, it is hoped that 100% IZN will be filled in 2022 as mandated by the 2020-2025 BAZNAS Strategic Plan.
