Coinciding with the 21st anniversary of BAZNAS, the Indonesian National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) held the 2022 BAZNAS Award, which gave awards to several Ministers of Advanced Cabinet, Governors, Regents, Mayors to Zakat Management Organizations (OPZ) and parties. They contributed to the development of zakat in the country through 184 categories of award recipients.
The event was also attended virtually by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia KH. Ma'ruf Amin.
The awarding of the BAZNAS Award 2022 was held in Jakarta and broadcast through the BAZNAS TV YouTube channel Monday (17/1/2022).
Present at the event were representatives of the Indonesian Presidential Family for the 1998-1999 Period Ilham Ali Habibie, Representatives of the Indonesian Presidential Family for the 1999-2021 Period Alisa Wahid and Yeni Wahid, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Prof. Dr KH Muhadjir Efendy MA, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, as well as Governors/Regents/Mayors from various regions in Indonesia, BAZNAS RI leaders, BAZNAS leaders throughout Indonesia, figures, state institutions, Islamic community organizations, and all recipients of the 2022 BAZNAS Award.
"BAZNAS gives high appreciation to all parties who have been involved and supported BAZNAS's efforts in the welfare of the ummah through the BAZNAS Award. The BAZNAS Award involved more than 300 figures and institutions, with 184 winners. This is a matter of pride for all of us. The award recipients this year increased sharply from the previous year, "said the Chairman of BAZNAS RI, Prof. Dr KH. Noor Ahmad, MA.
Prof. Noor expressed his gratitude to all parties who have contributed to the revival of zakat in Indonesia and have intensified the Love of Zakat Movement throughout the country.
